Em junho de 2002, o gTt-VIH foi declarado oficialmente como Entidade de Utilidade P\u00fablica e, em dezembro de 2005, foi registado como Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o N\u00e3o Governamental de Desenvolvimento em Coopera\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional. Desde abril de 2018, o gTt-VIH tem uma delega\u00e7\u00e3o na cidade de Madrid, com a qual contribui para a resposta ao VIH e \u00e0s IST na Comunidade de Madrid.<br><br>A nossa miss\u00e3o: Divulgar o conhecimento cient\u00edfico e a gest\u00e3o cl\u00ednica e farmacol\u00f3gica do VIH, das IST e das hepatites virais junto das pessoas que vivem com estas doen\u00e7as e das pessoas suscept\u00edveis de as contrair, atrav\u00e9s de actividades educativas, de cuidados e apoio individual e de participa\u00e7\u00e3o e defesa pol\u00edtica, para que estas pessoas possam aumentar o controlo sobre a sua sa\u00fade e melhorar a sua qualidade de vida.
