Demandeurs d\u2019asile<\/strong> The COA is responsible for the provision of health care in the reception centres. As any other person in the Netherlands, an asylum seeker can visit a general practitioner, midwife or hospital to access to basic healthcare. This includes hospitalisation, consultations with a general practitioner, physiotherapy, urgent dental care and consultations with a psychologist. Rejected asylum seekers only have access to emergency health care and have to seek care providers who help irregular migrants in order to have their costs covered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

R\u00e9fugi\u00e9s:<\/strong> All refugee children who arrive in the Netherlands undergo a medical examination by the Municipal Health Service (MHS). This is usually done within six weeks.
