Direitos de saúde dos migrantes
Asylum seekers: Are entitled to essential healthcare as well as professional medical assistance if they have experienced violence, abuse, torture, or female genital mutilation. Tuberculosis tests are provided upon arrival and no more than 14 days after arrival.
Asylum seekers are also entitled to free interpreters when receiving treatment.
Refugiados: Are entitled to mental health and substance abuse health care. They also have the right to general practitioners. Pregnant women can access essential healthcare before and up until the birth. It is also free to give birth in a hospital. All children under 18 years of age are fully entitled to healthcare.
Imigrantes indocumentados: Are entitled to immediate medical assistance if intervention cannot wait without risk of imminent death, permanent severe disability, serious injury or acute pain. They have to cover the full costs of healthcare beyond these services.
