Mi-Health Europe Steering Committee
Composed of representatives of our partner organisations, the Committee provides overall strategic leadership and direction. It ensures that we cultivate a robust network of advocates and organisations across the European region committed to exchanging best practice and advancing innovative solutions to the health and social challenges impacting migrants.

Ensures that the materials, resources and strategy developed across the platform are aligned with the goals of Mi-Health Europe, facilitates the efforts of the Working Groups and manages the online resource directory of partner organisations and the day-to-day operations of the platform.

Denis es el Director de Programas de AfricaAdvocacyFoundation. Tiene más de 20 años de experiencia en el trabajo de promoción de la salud comunitaria de base que se centra en la prevención, las pruebas y el acceso al tratamiento del VIH/ITS en comunidades marginadas y desatendidas, principalmente comunidades de inmigrantes negros en toda Europa. Hepatitis y TB, NHS England CRG on PrEP, UK HIV Commission. Anna is a last year international Health Sciences B.Sc. student at the University of Applied Sciences Fulda, Germany. Before she started studying, she did a one-year “Weltwärts” voluntary service in Ghana, which was the cornerstone of her international interest. As part of her studies she did a semester abroad in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and shortly after a 6-month internship at the Africa Advocacy Foundation. After the internship she continued to volunteer on the PrEP and Mi-Health Europe projects. Now she is writing her bachelor thesis on the topic: Inequities in access to HIV services for sub-Saharan African migrants in the UK and working as the Mi-Health Programme Officer at Africa Advocacy Foundation.

Anne Flaherty-Gupta es una trabajadora social con más de 10 años de experiencia brindando servicios directos y desarrollando y administrando programas tanto en entornos clínicos como comunitarios. Originaria de los Estados Unidos, ha trabajado principalmente con adultos que han experimentado y/o cometido violencia interpersonal y comunitaria y que están reingresando a la comunidad después del encarcelamiento. Tiene una Maestría en Trabajo Social con concentración en Salud Mental y un Certificado en Estudios de Violencia de la Universidad de Illinois en Chicago y ha brindado terapia individual y grupal a adolescentes y adultos inmigrantes y relacionados con el sistema legal penal en Chicago. Una trabajadora social con licencia en los EE. UU. y una trabajadora social registrada en Inglaterra, ahora reside en Londres con su esposo.

Fatima is a big enthusiast about social innovation, technology, and communication and finds joy in serving and supporting those most vulnerable through volunteering. She welcomes the challenge of interning for Mi-Health Europe, learning more about health and migration. She finds joy in knowing that not only she is able to be part of an organization advocating for a great cause, but she is also helping throughout the process. She has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce. She absolutely loves having access to continuous learning!
